MLB: A Retrospective Of October 2020, NLDS (MIA/ATL)
(originally written October 2020)

Ronald Acuna is arguably Atlanta's biggest star. The Miami Marlins like to drill Ronald Acuna. Needless to say, the two clubs probably won't send each other Christmas cards. But one WOULD send the other home from the playoffs...did Atlanta or Miami prevail? (Series played at Minute Maid Park, Houston)

Braves SP Max Fried may be young, but if his early performance was any indication, he was not at all awed by the playoff stage. Fried came out firing strikes—11 in a row to open the game while pitching through an error, in fact.

It was another sterling performance by a young Braves starter, this time Kyle Wright, in Game 3. Wright went six innings, allowing three hits and two walks while whiffing seven. The Braves cruised to a series sweep with the 7-0 triumph.
