In 2020, Milwaukee edged San Francisco for the #8 seed despite being below .500 all season and getting little from former MVP Christian Yelich. The #1 seed Dodgers, simply put, were the general favorite to win the championship; they seemed to lack any real holes. Could the Brewers avenge their 2018 NLCS elimination at the Dodgers' hands?

Brewers SP Brent Suter, perhaps overamped in his first playoff start, walked four Dodgers in the B1st—including Will Smith and A.J. Pollock with the bases loaded. 2-0 Dodgers.

Kershaw's October difficulties are well-chronicled, but on this night he made many of the Brewers look outright silly. The Claw (pictured left) racked up 13 K and allowed a measly three hits over eight innings—even waving off a visit from his pitching coach in a way only he could. Final: Dodgers 3, Brewers 0.
