MLB: A Retrospective Of October 2020, NLDS (SD/LAD)
(originally written October 2020)

These aren't your daddy's Padres—these guys flip bats, admire homers, and apologize for none of it. Certainly not to the Dodgers, who were openly miffed at San Diego's flair in September. Who'd prevail in the NLDS, the battle-tested Dodgers or the upstart Padres? (Series held at Globe Life Field, Arlington)

Padres starter Mike Clevinger was hoped to be recovered enough from an arm injury to battle the Dodgers in the NLDS. As it turned out, Clevinger only had enough juice to start the game; he was pulled as the B2nd got underway.

Smell ya later! Dodgers C Will Smith smacked a two-run single in the T9th, giving him five hits for the game to go with three total RBI. For good measure, Smith also threw out Tatis stealing! The Dodgers won 12-3, sweeping the series and advancing to the NLCS.
