Skillz And 95.7 The Game
"I'd like to live like a poor man—only with lots of money." -- Pablo Picasso
As an avid listener of local (San Francisco Bay Area) sports talk station 95.7 The Game, I've been compelled to share my (unsought) opinions a time or two through the years. Sometimes I make sense, and sometimes I'm an idiot. But consistently, I'm original.

Below are clips of all 36 of my appearances on The Game. Disclaimer: for the first three or four calls especially, I was EXTREMELY nervous to go on the air and you can hear it in my shaky voice...apologies.
Even further below are the funniest (IMHO) quips, retorts, stories and malaprops that help keep me coming back to The Game 11+ years and counting.
Skillz tells Bonta Hill and Joe Shasky that Jayson Tatum's stock fell after the 2022 NBA Finals, and that Kevon Looney was inexplicably excluded from 2022-23 Panini NBA Hoops.
Skillz tells Mark Willard and Dan Dibley that he's considering eating expired hot dogs he found. Skillz also hits Dibs with a surprise apology before heaping praise on Kevon Looney.

Skillz tells John Dickinson and Whitey Gleason of Warriors This Week that Kevon Looney can pass and that Moses Moody, despite his inconsistency, is a good player.

Skillz tells Dan Devone & Allen Stiles that the 49ers defense sometimes seems like it "sets up" other teams in the first half of games, then drops the hammer later on.
Skillz tells Dan Devone & Evan Giddings that the 49ers have won many different ways and have as good a shot at winning Super Bowl 57 as anybody.
Skillz tells John Dickinson how pleased he is with the 1Q efforts of Klay Thompson, the hustle of Moses Moody and the 4Q play of Jonathan Kuminga after GS beats CHA 110-105.
Skillz tells John Dickinson and Larry Krueger that Kyle Shanahan really needs to quit running his QB's and RB's up the middle so often.

Skillz tells Whitey Gleason & John Dickinson that no recent championship winner/contender has successfully won while trying to integrate as many youngsters as the Warriors are.
Skillz tells Whitey Gleason that he isn't overreacting about the Warriors' early-season struggles, and also gives his opinions on why they're struggling and how to fix it.
Skillz tells Whitey Gleason & John Dickinson that no one else seems to remember the Miami Heat fighting with themselves in March 2022, and gives Steph Curry some props.
Skillz tells John Dickinson that someone of Devin Booker's caliber has no business stepping up to a four-time champ like Klay Thompson.

Skillz (with a Z) tells Damon Bruce & Ray Ratto that the Giants will not make the playoffs and that the Rays did more at the Deadline. He also gives Ray some love.
Skillz tells Damon Bruce & Larry Krueger about an upcoming SoCal trip, and asks if he should rock Giants gear at Dodger Stadium. He also gives Larry some love.

Skillz tells Whitey Gleason & John Dickinson that the Warriors will be okay, but that if he were coach, there'd be limitiations imposed on shooting 3's. Also, a trade proposition.
Skillz tells Ryan Covay & John Dickinson four things from the play-in game that he can't believe aren't being discussed. Skillz also eats humble pie for underestimating LeBron James.
Skillz tells Ryan Covay & John Dickinson that the Final Word opening is the best, and that the Warriors shouldn't be all that concerned about LeBron James in the play-in game. (For real)
Skillz tells Ryan Covay & John Dickinson that Kevon Looney's late-game defense against Utah deserves praise—then his line cuts out. A LANDline, no less...
